You start with three hundred zloty, no home and no job. After that it's up to you: get hired and work shifts, take courses and double your rate, open a business, go into the market, take a payday loan, put together a cartel with a shared pot, call someone out for a duel or slip a card onto a neighbour. There's a safe you can crack and a homeless man you can shake down. Housing climbs from the railway station to a flat of your own.
Points: There is no score — there's money. Whoever gathers a million first takes the game. In sprint it's twenty-five game days of a minute and a half each: if nobody makes it, the richest wins. In week mode the city is shared and never closes, a game day lasts eight minutes, the week is a real one, and then the city starts over. There are also goals for the match: close one and the reward arrives by itself.
Worth knowing: Your character is alive: they eat several times a day, sleep, burn out from stress and fall ill. Hungry and burned out, they won't make it to a shift, and from hospital you simply don't play for a few minutes. Small jobs build up police attention: let it pile up and they'll come, and you'll be posting bail. A payday loan runs for 5, 10 or 15 days and costs a tenth more; miss the date and it costs more again. The cartel's pot is shared, and you can run off to Bali with it — the game allows that.
Not allowed: Forgetting to eat, sleep and see a doctor — that ends more matches than the competition does. And don't keep all your money in the cartel pot unless you're sure about the people.
